Slovenian parliament ratifies Croatian accession treaty So far, 22 out of EU's 27 member-states have ratified the Croatian accession treaty. The Slovenian ratification comes after a dispute between Slovenia and Croatia has recently been successfully resolved. Namely, Slovenia conditioned its ratification with a resolution of a bilateral issue concerning Ljubljanska Banka (bank). Former Slovenian PM Janez Jansa and his Croatian counterpart Zorab Milanovic in March signed a memorandum of agreement between the two governments. The document specified that the solution to the issue would be sought within the succession agreement of the two former Yugoslav republics. According to this, Croatia would suspend lawsuits against the bank, while Slovenia would ratify Croatia's EU accession agreement. The European Commission, who had been saying all along that bilateral issues must not prevent Croatia's accession, welcomed the agreement. A view of Ljubljana (sxc.hu, stock) Tanjug
