LJUBLJANA The Slovenian parliament late on Wednesday elected a new cabinet headed by Alenka Bratusek as its prime minister. The new, 11th government of Slovenia since it gained independence, was appointed with 52 votes in favor and 35 against, Beta news agency is reporting. Slovenian parliament elects new government Outgoing prime minister, Janez Jansa, whose cabinet received a vote of no confidence, will step down on March 21 or 22. Bratusek and her center-left government see as their first priorities "to revive the economy, save the country's ailing banks and avoid an international bailout", Reuters has reported.
