PODGORICA Socialist People's Party of Montenegro (SNP) leader Srdjan Milic says Montenegro deserves a government without the parties of the current ruling coalition. According to him, the current ruling parties have brought to country to the verge of the abyss. Montenegro is on verge of abyss, claims opposition leader “Those who have brought Montenegro in such a difficult social-economic situation, on the verge of the abyss, cannot pull it out now. Therefore, a change of government should happen at the election on October 14 and the SNP is the force that can make sure that Montenegro is economically strong,” Milic told Tanjug. He ruled out a possibility that his party could form a post-election coalition with the ruling parties – the Democratic Party of Socialists of Montenegro (DPS) and the Social Democratic Party of Montenegro (SDP). “We are offering cooperation to the opposition and to the parties of the current ruling coalition we are saying that they cannot make any post-election combinations with us,” Milic stressed. He noted that organized crime and corruption were serious problems in Montenegro and that the EU’s decision to start the accession talks with chapters on the rule of law proved it. “This shows the lack of political will of the current ruling majority to tackle the organized crime leaders in Montenegro,” Milic said, adding that the SNP had “zero tolerance” for any form of corruption and crime. According to him, relations between Serbia and Montenegro should be at the highest possible level. Tanjug
