Nine out of 20 arrested persons suspected of a quintuple murder in Macedonia have been remanded in custody for 30 days. The nine suspects were remanded in custody for 30 days on Thursday morning. Macedonian police (MUP) released photographs of 32-year-old Afrim Ismailovik, 33-year-old Agim Ismailovik and 27-year-old Alil Demiri who committed the murders. However, only Agim Ismailovik was arrested while the other two men are on the run. Terrorism charges were filed against the three men and Fejzi Aziri and Rami Sejdiu who acted as accomplices, the police have stated. The weapons seized in the police operation were found at several locations. The largest amount was found in 60-year-old Ferida Bilali’s home near the town of Kumanovo. Police discovered ammunition for automatic, semi-automatic weapons and machine guns. Radio stations, uniforms, shirts, insignia, IDs and a photo album with Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) insignia were also found in Bilali’s house, the police added. The weapons were also found in homes of Isni and Ramadan Asani, Nazif Mehmeti and Ibrahim Zajdini. The police used special investigation measures such as surveillance and phone tapping during the operation. Four young men aged between 18 and 22 and a local 45-year-old man were killed near Skopje on April 11. The bodies of the four young men were found near a dirt road and were placed next to each other which suggested they were probably executed.
