Over the first six months of 2010, Montenegro paid some USD 452,000 for lobby activities in the U.S. This was announced by the U.S. Justice Ministry, according to the Podgorica-based daily Vjesti. Montenegro spends on lobby activities in U.S. In its regular semi-annual report to the Congress, the U.S. Justice Ministry noted that the lobby company Orion Strategies received USD 60,000 for services delivered over the six-month period ending on May 31, 2010. For this sum, Orion Strategies provided Montenegro with counseling services, guidelines and support to strategic communications, public relations and backing before U.S. decision-makers, said reports.
