Albania's parliament voted on Wednesday to lift the immunity of former Prime Minister Ilir Meta. This came following a request of the prosecution office seeking authorization to start legal proceedings against him, Albanian ATA agency reported. Meta resigned from office on January 14, after a local television station broadcast a video allegedly showing Meta trying to influence Prifti over a state tender for a hydro-power station.
