A group of about 150 trade union protesters have blocked entrances to the Athens stock exchange building. They are protesting against austerity measures as the government struggles to cut a huge budget deficit and pull the country out of the serious debt crisis, report said. Protesters block Greek stock exchange The protest is conducted by Greek communist workers' group PAME and the organizers say they want to keep the blockade until the end of the day and that they have prevented the opening of the stock exchange. The police did not intervene. The stock exchange blockade has started a day before a 24-hour general strike of Greece’s major public and private sector unions, which aims to stop work of all public services and ground all flights.
