July deadline for RS referendum

Republic of Srpska (RS) PM Milorad Dodik says the announced referendum in this entity in Bosnia is unrelated to the election campaign. The referendum will be held in the RS in July at the latest if the Law on Referendum gets vetoed by the Bosnia's House of Peoples. July deadline for RS referendum “I would like the Bosniaks (Muslims) to lift the veto in the House of Peoples and to hold the referendum in April. If, however, they fail, we will not be able to consider this before June or July, due to the procedure of the Constitutional Court of the Republika Srpska,” Dodik said in a statement for the Podgorica-based TV IN. On February 10, the RS parliament adopted the Law on referendum and civil initiative.
