Croatian President Stjepan Mesic said that Serbia’s objections regarding Croatia’s recognition of Kosovo are not justified. According to Mesic, “Croatia has recognized the new reality” of the situation. Mesic disagrees with "Serbian objections" Mesic told reporters that it is good that after Kosovo has become independent, Vojvodina has also been given back its autonomy, reminding that Slobodan Milosevic abolished the provincial statuses of Kosovo and Vojvodina and also toppled the leadership in Montenegro shortly afterwards.
