Croatia's state TV HRT Director Vanja Sutlic has insulted one of his journalists because she is married to a Serb, her colleagues claim. Croatia's Index website reports that Sutlic hurled "rough insults" at Ivana Dragicevic-Velickovic because of her Serb husband, while the incident was witnessed by a group of journalists and editors – Maja Sever, Lela Knezevic, Sanja Mikleusevic and Robert Zuber. Croat state TV boss in chauvinist outburst According to reports, Sutlic called his reporter a "Chetnik whore". Sever says that she invited Dragicevic-Velickovic to be a guest on a charity program, with the proceeds going to a maternity clinic in Zagreb, where Dragicevic-Velickovic recently gave birth to her child. Sever says that Sutlic objected to the idea and than used vulgar language to insult the reporter, "based on ethnicity". Three other witnesses confirmed the incident for the website. Lela Knezevic, an editor with HRT, added that this was not the first similar outburst Sutlic was involved in. “After Sanja Mikleusevic and I came back from a seminar in Belgrade, which was organized by the eminent B92 program Insider, he informed us that he was going to cancel our business trip expenses and that we would have to finance it ourselves. His only explanation was, 'what business do you have being guests on Serb B92',“ she said. On a previous occasion, Sutlic apologized to Split Mayor Zeljko Kerum, who told HRT host Aleksandar Stankovic that he would "never allow a Serb son-in-law into his family". Sutlic said it was Stankovic's question that was "primitive". However, HRT spokesman Janos Roemer on Monday denied that the incident took place, and stated the article published on Index "is a blatant lie, obviously planned in order to discredit the HRT Director Vanja Sutlic”.
