According to the latest information, a businessman from Doboj was responsible for the murder of Serb Democratic Party (SDS) Vice President Branislav Garić.

According to the latest information, a businessman from Doboj was responsible for the murder of Serb Democratic Party (SDS) Vice President Branislav Garic. Savic reportedly killed him at the SDS party headquarters in Doboj. Politician’s killer surrenders to police According to initial information, Savic, the owner of the Gradj-Promet company in Doboj is responsible for the murder and has turned himself in to the authorities. It was reported that Savic shot and killed the politician after a short confrontation. Savic then fled to Sarajevo, where he turned himself in. He is expected to be transferred to the Public Security Center in Doboj and there is no information currently on possible motives behind the murder. People living in the town who are aware of the economic and political situation locally believe that the motive could have been business-related, including construction jobs ordered by the SDS which Savic's company was working on. Savic has closed down four construction sites recently and has been letting go many workers. Many SDS officials and supporters gathered in Doboj on Sunday night, while police were out in numbers, blocking off the street in which the party headquarters are located.

It was reported that Savić shot and killed the politician after a short confrontation. Savić then fled to Sarajevo, where he turned himself in.
