Former Bosniak and RS officials have commented allegations that the U.S. had cut Radovan Karadzic a deal. Sacirbegovic told Mostar's Dnevni List daily that this agreement amounts to the international community "giving a green light to Milosevic, Mladic and Karadzic to go ahead with Srebrenica". The former diplomat also claims that international mediator Richard Frowick at the time "admitted with unease" that Holbrooke promised Karadzic he would not be arrested if he withdrew from politics. Buha for his part even claims that two such deals existed between the war crimes suspect and the U.S. After the first was signed, this former official said, the second specified that Karadzic's party, the SDS, could take part in elections in the Bosnian Serb entity, while "Hague was history for Radovan".
