Croatian President Stjepan Mesic expects Belgrade to make it clear to the Bosnian Serbs that their capital is Sarajevo, reports say. "Once Belgrade sends such messages there will be no political illusionists who say, and allegedly this is what Dodik is saying, that the Republic of Srpska is a constant, [although it] didn't exist until this war and was made on ethnic cleansing, while Bosnia-Herzegovina, which has always existed, can still be, but not necessarily," Mesic was quoted as saying. Croatian president critical of Bosnian Serb leader Mesic was making the comment after the Great People's Assembly of the Serb National Council (SNV) in Zagreb, which he attended, and where RS Premier Milorad Dodik and Kosovo Serbs present received the loudest applause. The Croatian president said that he minds the fact Dodik always speaks on behalf of the Republic of Srpska. "Dodik came, but he never presented [himself] as coming from Bosnia-Herzegovina, and I think that speaks volumes," he added. As for SNV chairman Milorad Pupovac and his statement that Croatia's genocide lawsuit against Serbia burdened the relations between the two countries, and is a burden for the Serbs in Croatia, Mesic said it was up to the International Court of Justice to decide whether his country was right to file such a suit.
