A fire broke out at the barricades in Kosovska Mitrovica

Young man Nikola Nedeljković (20) from Belgrade, who was arrested by Kosovo police in Gazimestan on Vidovdan, was released and he returned to Belgrade together with his family.

The EU and the US are concerned about the tense situation in the north of Kosovo and call on everyone to exercise maximum restraint, the EU press service announced.

As stated, all parties are urged to immediately take measures for the unconditional de-escalation of the situation and to refrain from provocations, threats and intimidation.

The cabins of both trucks were burned at the barricade in Kosovska Mitrovica, not far from the settlement of Dudin krs, on the bridge over which you go from the city to the main road to Pristina, the media write.

There were no guards at the barricades this morning and no continuous shifts at that barricade, so it is not known what happened, nor has the cause of the fire been determined.

Osmani: "It is not a political decision"

President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, stated that releasing Dejan Pantić to house arrest was not a political decision, but that the prosecutor who made such a proposal should state the reasons, reports Klan Kosova.

"As the president of Kosovo, I was informed about this decision when you were, because I have never influenced the decisions of judicial institutions, I will never exert pressure on them and I will never interfere in what they should decide. But how is it possible that someone who is accused for terrorism is released to house arrest? The prosecutor who made the proposal must explain the reasons," said Osmani.

She added that she will request information from the Judicial Council of Kosovo on what is the maximum and minimum punishment in cases characterized as "terrorism", and whether there were other cases where someone was released to house arrest, despite the fact that they were accused of that specific crime.
