According to reports, Pantić will first be sent to the hospital, where his general condition will be monitored, given the fact that he spent almost three weeks at the Kosovo Police base in Jarinje.

The release of Dejan Pantić was the first demand of the Serbs from the north of Kosovo and Metohija, who erected barricades in several places as a sign of protest, where they remain to this day.

The request for Pantić's release was also made publicly by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, who is in contact with Pantić's wife, Suzana Pantić, all the time.

This news comes after President Vučić talked with American and European representatives throughout the night.

Lawyer: "The measure of house arrest will last until January 9"

"We received an official decision from the judge from Pristina that Dejan Pantić's court detention is replaced by house arrest, so that during the day he will be at home and, most importantly, with his family again," lawyer Ljubomir Pantović told Kosovo Online. .

As Pantović points out, according to the aforementioned decision, "the measure of house arrest will last until January 9".

"We will see later if the prosecutor will ask for an extension of that measure, or if it will be replaced by another mild one, where Pantić would only have to report to the police station once a week. This way, during house arrest, the police can control whether he is at home, and if he wants to, say, go to the doctor or has to leave the apartment for something, that request is sent to the judge through the defense attorney," says lawyer Pantović.

According to our interlocutor, the most important thing is that "Dejan Pantić will be with his family and that he will no longer be in detention where there were inadequate conditions".
