"I brought all the documents that confirm the positions of Serbia, handed them over, spoke about the seriousness of our approach, the desire to stabilize the situation, but also the frustration of our people. The Serbian word means much more than someone's signature. We talked about the European perspective, all the questions about our cooperation," said Vučić.

Vučić added that he sees Macron as a sincere friend of our country, stating that he is sure of that, that Macron also respects and appreciates Serbia to the largest extent.

"I think he respects the fact that I don’t lie to him and that I tell the truth and that we do what we say. I believe that we can sign big things in Belgrade when he comes, there will be many details to talk about. Today is not the time for that,“ said Vucic.

“A good meeting from the point of view of our bilateral relations and some other relations, but I cannot talk about everything,” said Vucic, adding that he showed Macron the documents proving it is possible to use both the status-neutral KS plates and the RKS plates requested by Pristina on the territory of Kosovo.

Regarding his potential meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti in Paris, Vucic said there was a possibility of a meeting and that he is always ready, but that he does not believe it will happen. Vucic said he and Macron also discussed the situation in Kosovo, but that he could not disclose the details of that discussion. "I believe that we can sign big things when he comes to Belgrade. There will be many details that we will talk about, but not today," said the President of Serbia. Speaking about the events in Kosovo and Metohija, Vučić points out that he is always ready for a compromise, stressing that he does not believe that there will be one, because of the Pristina side.

"We specified the conditions for returning to the institutions, but we don't know what will happen next. We had a good meeting because of our bilateral relations, and others, and as far as Pristina is concerned, I am not optimistic. I brought a document for the plates today, and showed them to Macron," said Vučić.

"At the end of August, I said that we have had a problem since September - ID cards. I said that we will propose something that is not easy for us, but it is impossible for anyone to reject it. They told me then that we should do it and that their job is to convince Kurti about plates to do it differently and you saw - nothing was done... Now it is much more difficult, how can I tell the Serbs to return to the institutions. There is nothing to do until the conditions are met," he said.

"I had a lot of important talks, but this one was the most important. There are important and good things for Serbia," he said. When asked if there will be additional pressure now, Vučić says.

"Now they can tell us: Look how the Russians fared, and how you little Serbs will fare. They can always pull it out of the drawer. But well, we know how to behave. We have learned some lessons, and we will take care of ourselves militarily as well, by preserving our military neutrality," Vučić concluded.
