"Pristina wants obedient Serbs without opinion of their own"

After his meeting with representatives of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija, President Aleksandar Vucic addressed the media.

"Pristina wants obedient Serbs without opinion of their own"

The president started his address by stressing that Serbia is in a difficult situation due to Pristina's irresponsible activities, as well as because of what he finds to be the incomprehensible activity of the Western powers.

"As you know, the terror over Serbia has been taking place for five months, after (Pristina) introduced taxes (on products from central Serbia). For over six years Albanians have not fulfilled their sole obligation under the Brussels agreement - the formation of the ZSO (Community of Serb Municipalities), and have, contrary even to their constitution, formed the Kosovo army, adopted a (negotiating) platform that says it is our duty to recognize the state of Kosovo, to admit to committing crimes, especially sexual... not to mention that they are seeking war reparations," said Vucic.

"I have asked many Western representatives whether I am also required to open the door so they can burst in and grab whatever they like. Why did I have to say all that - there are some other things that are pointing to their arrogance," he said, adding that the authorities in Pristina are not hiding that they are working to create Greater Albania in front of the eyes of the international community, while everyone keeps silent.

"Something else has happened. They want to revoke the right of Serbs to an opinion. Obedient Serbs are being sought, who will never mention Serbia, who will feel good with Albanians. The Serb List bothers them because they want to work and talk and agree with Serbia. This is why there is a fierce campaign and that's why they didn't ask (the Serb List) when when the elections were called," the president said.

Vucic said that he told political representatives from the North of Kosovo to decide for themselves whether to participate in mayoral elections in the four Serb municipalities, that Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has announced - but that he also told them "not to allow the Albanian 0.1 percent to create their local authorities."
