Serbian MP's offensive tweet after death of Mehmedovic
National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic has condemned the insults contained in a tweet posed by opposition SRS Assembly member Vjerica Radeta.

Gojkovic stressed on Wednesday that Radeta's views are "unacceptable, and do not reflect the values represented by the Serbian parliament."On behalf of the National Assembly and on her own behalf Gojkovic also expressed her condolences over the death of the activist.
"I strongly condemn the terrible and unacceptable insults made by the people's deputy (Assembly member), that are unbecoming someone who is a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, and endanger the dignity of the National Assembly. The views expressed are unacceptable and in no way reflects the positions and values represented by the National Assembly," Gojkovic said.
The National Assembly is a representative body made up of "civilized and decent people," as are the citizens of Serbia, she said in a statement.
Gojkovic emphasized that the National Assembly will continue to develop cooperation in the region, advocating for a better understanding among all those living in this region, as she stated, "with goal of stability and peace that we need to develop throughout the region."
Radeta's inappropriate reaction on Twitter came after the news of the death of Mehmedovic, who lost her husband and two sons in Potocari in 1995.
"I read it that Hatidza Mehmedovic from the association of businesswomen of Srebrenica died. Whoever will bury her. Her husband or her sons?!," the tweet said.
A member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sadik Ahmetovic, reacted to this with an open letter to the parliament of BiH to suspend cooperation with the Serbian parliament, "until it apologizes for Vjerica Radeta's tweet."
