Opposition figure "won't let Vucic end up like Ceausescu"

According to him, "every newspaper article, interview or tweet about it" draws attention from "the effects on the society produced by the authorities of Aleksandar Vucic and those who participate in them."

"In a day when Mladic was convicted and (deputies) were fighting with (computer) mice in the Assembly, my wife (Slavica) was on the front pages of all the newspapers in Serbia," said Jankovic.

According to him, the PSG cannot afford to commission public opinion polls - "but we all know who can."

"And that person knows why the focus is precisely now precisely on the PSG and precisely on me. Because we have brought a new chance for the opposition - above all, in Belgrade, and then in Serbia. And the ratings have long since not been in his (Vucic's) favor. My message to him is: 'Forget about Slavica and cowardly intrigues, face me like a man and act like a man. I told you, I will not let you end up like (Romanian President Nicolae) Ceausescu, and that's for Serbia's sake, not for your sake!'," Jankovic said, in comments that came after his movement when through big internal turmoil.

Jankovic also decided to respond to accusations coming from his until recently closest associates, and to talk about his mistakes and the fate of the PSG, as well as the opposition's chance of replacing the current authorities led by Vucic.

He also spoke about who and why has left the PSG, "about the stories that he is a 'killer' and his relationship with Teodorovic and Skoro" - until yesterday his associates.

"People are not a mistake, I made a mistake by trying to please everyone. You cannot refer to people as my mistake or as my traitors, the world does not revolve around me," Jankovic said, among other things, and added, "Instead of advising me what to, and seeing that I'm not listening, everyone who thinks they can better should openly enter politics."

"It takes only three people and a lot of determination to register a movement," he said.

Jankovic also spoke about the latest accusations coming from Sasa Radulovic, why he thinks Dragan Djilas is "convincingly the best candidate for Belgrade," and his message for the Democratic Party.
