According to the article, they include former President Tomislav Nikolic and Mayor Sinisa Mali.The newspaper said that checks in ten of these cases are ongoing, while one has been finished with a request to start misdemeanor procedures.
Among those whose assets are being checked is LDP leader Cedomir Jovanovic - due to Croatian media reports about a yacht that he did not include in a report he had previously submitted to the Agency.
Others from this list include directors of several companies and schools.
Those found to have filed incomplete or false data about their income and spending can be ordered to pay money fines, or sent to jail from six months to five years.
The daily said that the previous checks in 2016 resulted in criminal complaints being filed against Lebane Mayor Srdjan Jovic, Judge Miodrag Plazinic from Cacak, and director of the Luka Novi Sad company Aleksandar Milovancev.
