Nikolic congratulates China's Xi on reelection

"I congratulate you on the successfully organized Congress and its achievements for the future of the People's Republic of China. Your speech and the tasks that you have set before the Communist Party of China and the citizens of China made the entire progressive world rejoice, and encouraged humanity to now, with much more optimism, expect peace and prosperity on which your country will soon have a decisive influence," Nikolic said.

He recalled that Serbia and China have achieved much together in the past five years, by establishing a comprehensive strategic partnership.

"I am proud that one of the cornerstones of this relationship is also our personal, family friendship. Please continue to support Serbia and a better life of its citizens in the coming period," Nikolic said, adding that citizens of Serbia know that they have sincere and steadfast friends in China and its president.

"The epochal Belt and Road project will certainly contribute to moving closer together and to the understanding between our countries. A lot of work is ahead of us, and it is up to us to achieve the results that benefit of our peoples," Nikolic concluded.
