Serbia appoints honorary consul to Spain's Zaragoza
A statement posted on the government's website said that "in a short conversation, in the presence of Vice President of the Aragon Chamber of Commerce Maria Lopez, it was estimated that the opening of the Consulate of Serbia in Zaragoza will significantly improve the economic cooperation and visibility of Serbia in Zaragoza and Aragon."After signing the book of honorary guests of the Chamber of Commerce of Aragon, the Serbian foreign minister and first deputy PM presented potentials, reforms and policies of Serbia in front of more than 300 representatives of the economic elite of Aragon.
"It is the wish and the commitment of the Republic of Serbia to continue to cherish and promote with the Kingdom of Spain close relations in all areas of mutual interest," he stressed, expressing his gratitude "for the principled and consistent position of that country not to recognize the unilaterally proclaimed independence of Kosovo."
"We highly appreciate the active and strong support that the Kingdom of Spain provides to European integration of the Republic of Serbia, which is one of our key foreign policy goals," Dacic said.
Considering the potentials of the two countries, one of our priorities in relations with the Kingdom of Spain is to intensify economic cooperation and increase Spanish investments in the Republic of Serbia, which is an excellent basis for a strong relationship based on the friendship of the two nations, Dacic concluded.
