Sasa Jankovic establishes new political movement
A new political movement called Free Citizens of Serbia was founded on May 21 in Belgrade, Beta reported.

Sasa Jankovic establishes new political movement
Having been elected at the new movement's helm, Jankovic said the objective of the movement was the rule of social justice and "returning dignity to and putting a smile back on Serbian citizens' faces."Jankovic told reporters in Belgrade that he would cooperate with all who shared those goals, but not with those who openly or covertly supported the policy of the current government. He said the movement would expand, but would not let the core that was formed on May 21 to be chipped away or disqualified in any way.
Jankovic announced the forming of an ethical commission of the movement and the opening of offices across Serbia.
Jankovic said that the Statute the movement had adopted contained clear and specific goals, which he described as a rare document in Serbian politics.
The following Presidency members were unanimously elected: human rights activist Aida Corovic, journalist Srdjan Skoro, film director Goran Markovic and academician Dusan Teodorovic.
The founding assembly of the new political movement was attended by 62 founders and numerous public figures, including film and theater directors Goran Markovic, Kokan Mladenovic and Zdravko Sotra, musicians Vasil Hadzimanov and Vlado Georgiev, journalist Tatjana Vojtehovski, actor Sergej Trifunovic, Faculty of Political Science professor Rade Veljanovski and dramatist Borka Pavicevic.
