According to Belgrade media, ex-Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic will take on a new role Tuesday - he will become head of the Security Information Agency (BIA).

Asked to comment on these reports, Gasic "neither confirmed nor denied" the news, RFE said on Monday."You have no reason to ask me that. These are journalists' tales. I will not say anything. I have no comment at all," Gasic said in a brief statement over the phone.
The Vecernje Novosti article added that it had been previously mentioned that Gasic might become secretary for national security, or return to a high-ranking job in the MoD.
Gasic will face the important task of "straightening up" the civilian security service and work on its best coordination with military services VBA and VOA, as well as the Ministry of Interior Affairs, the tabloid Alo writes.
Gasic was dismisses as defense minister after making sexist remarks at the expense of a B92 report, when Vucic said that he could not "pardon" him for the scandal, even though he was satisfied with the minister's work.
Gasic is considered to be one of Vucic's closest associates and was recently very active in his presidential campaign.
