A Ministry of Defense statement, quoted by Beta, said that Djordjevic was accompanied by deputy commander of the General Staff's Joint Operative Command, Gen. Maj. Slavoljub Janicijevic.
According to him, the joint forces have so far prevented more than 21,000 migrants from crossing the border illegally, at the same time detaining 140 people smugglers.
Djordjevic said that he today spoke about the forces' current activities and about improving their material position. The mister was also on an unannounced visit to the Serbian Army's Base Jug ("south").
