First Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic met on Thursday with Bulgarian interim Prime Minister Ognyan Gerdzhikov.

Top Serbian and Bulgarian officials visit border town
The two officials "expressed satisfaction with good bilateral relations between Serbia and Bulgaria and readiness for their improvement," the Serbian government announced.They spoke about "cooperation in the fields of the economy, infrastructure, energy and about issues of interest for the Bulgarian national minority."
Dacic and Gerdzhikov "highlighted the importance of a quick realization of joint projects, such as the construction of the Nis-Sofia motorway, reconstruction of the Nis-Dimitrovgrad railway and the construction of a gas interconnector between Serbia and Bulgaria."
The both sides "expressed readiness to work on increasing investment and economic power of the city of Bosilegrad and this region in order to improve the living standard."
During their visit to Bosilegrad, Dacic and Gerdzhikov laid wreaths to the monument of Bulgarian national hero Vasil Levski and opened an exhibition of the 24th international Easter festival.
The Serbian deputy PM an foreign minister and the interim head of the Bulgarian government met as reports from Sofia suggested the country's new ruling coalition would include a party with an expansionist agenda aimed against Serbia.
