The Presidency is currently located in the Andricev Venac area of the old part of the Serbian capital.

The job will be carried out by the Administration for Joint Services of the Republic Bodies, the newspaper said. But this administration "provided no answer" when queried which rooms in the Palace of Serbia - formerly known as the SIV (Serbian acronym for the Federal Executive Council, the government of the former Yugoslavia) - would be appropriate as the president's new offices, and how long it may take to repurpose them.

The agency's director, Dejan Jovic, informed the daily that they did not receive any request related to the move reportedly planned by Vucic, and that
the volume of works and the deadline would be known once such a request arrives.

Jovic also remarked that the president currently uses rooms in the central part of the Palace of Serbia "for protocolary and other activities."

Speaking about the idea, Vucic noted the proposal to turn the building in Andricev Venac into "a museum."

In the past, the edifice housed the Museum of Prince Pavle (from 1935 until 1944), and later the Museum of Art. After 1953, it became the HQ of several state institutions: the Executive Council (the government of Serbia), the Assembly, and finally, the Presidency.
