"It's a way to allow people to easily obtain the books we print, as we wish to preserve for the future the history of our time, viewed in a specific way. We are handing out fresh titles hot off the presses, that have not been in circulation before," Seselj said, and added that among the books are his scientific works - "nine more recent, and two early works."

He remarked that the party "never made money on books" and that 10,000 are being distributed either free of charge or for a minimal price.

Seselj was then asked whether Serbia should join the EU, to which he responded by saying that the Radicals (SRS) think Serbia's goal should be Russia, rather than the EU, and reiterated that Serbia should militarily ally itself with Russia.

"Russia did not bomb us, while the EU and NATO bombed us twice," he said.

In an interview for RT on Monday, Seselj said he was in favor of an alliance with Moscow, and, due to the threats surrounding it, wanted to see Russian army bases in Serbia.

"I am convinced that Serbia will never become an EU member. Our party will oppose it. We want to have a customs union with Russia," the SRS leader said, adding that he also wants his country to have "a joint army with Russia, and the same military uniforms."

Reacting to Seselj's statement about merging the Serbian Army with the Russian military, another presidential candidate, LSV leader Nenad Canak, on Monday called for legal action against his opponent, whom he accused of "high treason."

Asked about US President Donald Trump, Seselj told reporters in Belgrade today that he thought "the best" of America's new president, and noted that he supported Trump during the campaign when he appealed on Serbian Americans to vote for him.
