A high ranking official of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) has visited the grave of the party's founder, Ibrahim Rugova.

"The president was happy," Borovci told members of the party, Serbia's state broadcaster RTS is reporting, quoting Kosovo-based media.

The meeting of the Pristina committee of the party "took a completely unexpected turn," the reports said, when Borovci proceeded to convey to his colleagues the details of his "conversation" with Rugova, who died in 2006.

Borovci said that he and several of his party comrades visited Rugova's grave.

"We informed President Rugova about the 27th anniversary of the Pristina committee. The president asked us how things are going. We informed him about certain issues," Borovci said.

"The president was very happy... he said not to end our good relations with the Americans," Borovci said, "to a boisterous applause."

A few days ago, retired Croatian Admiral Davor Domazet-Loso said that former Yugoslav and Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic - who also died in 2006 - was "not dead."

"Slobodan Milosevic is alive, the casket at his funeral was empty," the admiral said.
