While in the Patriarchate, he spoke with Father Chariton.

Jeremic will continue his campaign on Saturday in the town of Cacak, central Serbia, with a convention in the local Mladost sports venue, his team has confirmed for B92.

"The Patriarchate of Pec represents a foundation of our culture and tradition. For centuries it has been a witness to the brilliant, glorious, but also the difficult moments of our history," Jeremic said today, and added:

"This is one of the difficult moments when we must be united and firm in our determination to protect ourselves, to protect our culture, our identity and to use knowledge - knowledge of the world, but also that of who we are and where we come from, to protect our national interests."

According to his team, Jeremic today missed a meeting with EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini in Belgrade due to his trip to Kosovo.
