Medvedev congratulates Serbia's Statehood Day to Vucic
Statehood Day - also referred to as Sretenje (the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple), after the Orthodox Christian holiday coinciding with it - is celebrated on February 15."The Russian-Serbian relations, based on the principles of friendship, mutual respect and trust, are consistently developing. I am convinced that further strengthening of bilateral trade-economic, scientific-technical, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, implementation of promising joint projects in industry, energy and infrastructure completely correspond to the interests of our countries," Medvedev's message reads.
The Russian prime also wished Vucic success in his work, and the citizens of Serbia well-being and prosperity.
According to the Serbian government's website, Vucic "expressed his gratitude to the entire Russian state leadership for supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia."
Vucic presented to Chepurin "the progress in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, adding that it is important to preserve peace and stability, but also to protect Serbian national and state interests."
Vucic and Chepurin also discussed "economic, cultural and military-technical cooperation between the two countries, noting that bilateral relations between Serbia and Russia are progressing well in all areas of common interest."
