Kosovo Serbs must withdraw "harmful decisions" by Dec. 31

Djuric told reporters on Monday that Vucic told Serbs from Kosovo clearly they must be united when making all their decisions.

"Those who on their own and without the Serbian hovernment made a political decision to replace Ljubomir Maric need to withdraw their harmful decisions by December 31, in order to preserve a united activity of Serbs, if they want to participate in what is a common policy of the Serbs and the Serbian state in Kosovo and Metohija," said Djuric.

After the prime minister's meeting with the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija, Djuric said that Mirjana Jevtic, who has been appointed as a minister in the Kosovo government instead of Maric, should step down.

"All decisions of the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija should be taken in a united manner, through agreement, not quarrels, and by consensus", he underlined.

The meeting with Vucic in Belgrade today was attended by Serb (Srpska) List members of the Kosovo Assembly, Serb representatives in the Kosovo government, and mayors, but not by Jevtic, Djuric said, according to Tanjug.

Beta reported ahead of the meeting on Monday that it would take place "to resolve the issues of the internal conflict of the Serb List and some of the deputies those from the Movement of Socialists, having diverged from the policy supported by Belgrade."

Announcing the meeting, Vucic said that the conflict had occurred after the interference of foreign factors and Albanians, adding that the issue would be finally resolved on Dec. 26.

The prime minister said at the time that he had full confidence in Movement of Socialists leader and Minister Aleksandar Vulin, whose party's deputies returned to the Kosovo Assembly even though all Serb political representatives froze their positions in Kosovo institutions three months ago.

Kosovo Serbs froze their positions in the Assembly and government of Kosovo over legislation on Trepca, whereby the Kosovo cabinet took over all assets of the mine.
