The Serbian government on Thursday adopted the 2017 budget bills, with a planned deficit of 1.7 pct of GDP, the lowest-ever in the history of Serbia.

Govt. adopts 2017 budget bills, lowest-ever deficit planned

The adopted budget bills were tabled to the Serbian National Assembly.

The proposed budget envisions revenues of 1,092.9 bln dinars and expenditures of 1,162 bln dinars, the Ministry of Finance said.

The planned 2017 fiscal deficit is thus 69.1 bln dinars - 52 bln lower than the deficit planned in the 2016 budget, the ministry said.
