SNS wins local elections in southeastern town
Serbia's ruling SNS party has taken 76 percent of all votes cast in the local elections held on Sunday in the town of Bela Palanka, southeastern Serbia.

The only other election list to win seats in the municipal assembly - five of them - is the SPS-JS coalition, who received 15.38 percent of the vote.A total of six lists took part, while the SDS, the DS, and the LDP boycotted the local polls.
Djuric said the voting went without incidents, with the final results to be announced during the day on Monday. The turnout was 80 percent.
9,631 citizens were eligible to vote.
