Dacic meets with leaders attending NAM summit in Venezuela

Serbia has observer status in the Non-Aligned Movement.

According to the government, Dacic's conversation with Morales revolved around "the vital issue of national interest for the Republic of Serbia - respect for the principles of international law."

The miinister "expressed his gratitude to the President of Bolivia for the country’s principled stance regarding the respect of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of states and expressed the desire of the Republic of Serbia to deepen bilateral relations with Bolivia."

Morales said that Serbia "enjoys great respect and popularity in Bolivia, adding that he is an ardent supporter of our famous tennis player Novak Djokovic."

At a meeting with Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda Gaston Browne, both sides "noted that the bilateral cooperation between the two countries is underdeveloped, but they identified areas of cooperation of mutual interest."

Dacic and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt Sameh Shoukry talked about "further deepening of bilateral cooperation in all fields, as well as the improvement of relations on the economic and multilateral level."

There also discussed the activities of Egypt in the Security Council, where that country is a non-permanent member.

Dacic invited his Egyptian counterpart to visit Serbia, who accepted the invitation and expressed the hope that the visit will take place soon.

At the meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Africa Maite Nkoana Mashabane, both sides "expressed willingness to improve bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and highlighted the fact that economic relations should follow the already very good relations between the two countries."

They spoke about the cooperation in the international field and about the policy of the Republic of South Africa in the Non-Aligned Movement, and Dacic invited Mashabane to visit Belgrade.

Dacic and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Eritrea Osman Saleh Mohammed concluded at the meeting that there is great potential for further development of bilateral relations between the two countries.

"Special attention was paid to the importance of the principle of respect for international law, the sovereignty of states and the principle of territorial integrity, and both sides expressed a wish for cooperation between the two countries at the multilateral level too," the Serbian government said.
