Serbia will receive a grant worth EUR 755,000 earmarked for refugees and migrants located in our country.

Serbia given EUR 755K for migrants and refugees

The contract was signed by Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, who is currently on an official visit to France, and CEB Governor Rolf Wenzel, the Serbian government has announced.

The grant comes as continued assistance to Serbia, worth EUR 2.5 million, that the CEB has already implemented, and "(represents) an announcement of new grants to the Serbian government for its future needs, both of migrants, and of the local population."

The statement added that "negotiations have been renewed" and that Serbia will now "speed up implementation of a regional program to solve housing issues of refugees and internally displaced persons in the territory of Serbia."

According to the same source, CEB representatives "stressed that Serbia is a good example of spending the bank's money in a conscientious and responsible manner."
