A joint session of the governments of Serbia and Albania will be held in Nis, a town in southern Serbia.

"Serbian and Albanian governments to hold joint session"

As stated, the session will be held in a month's time. RSE is reporting this citing "sources close to the authorities in Belgrade."

The details of the meeting have not yet been arranged, "but for now it is assumed that it is unlikely that President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci or Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa will take part." Instead, the article said, Pristina will be represented by "some lower-ranking political representatives."

The Albanian delegation, meanwhile, will be led by PM Edi Rama, the agency said.

The meeting in Nis, which is in the planning stage, has been initiated by Belgrade, while "the concept is to make it notonly the dialogue between the countries Albania and Serbia, but also one between Serbs and Albanians in the region." For this reason political representatives of Kosovo Albanians will also be invited, according to the article.

RFE said it was also told unofficially by unnamed sources close to the Serbian government that Serbian and Albanian businesspeople from the region will also participate, while work is ongoing on the full list of all participants, including political representatives from Kosovo.

The meeting in Nis will be held "on the occasion of cooperation in infrastructure development, which includes the joint construction of the Tirana-Nis highway."

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic told a joint news conference with U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden that Edi Rama would visit Serbia in the coming months.
