"Biden will ask Pristina to unblock Brussels agreement"

"Without a doubt one of the topics will be normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina, and this is corroborated by the fact he will visit both. I believe there will certain demands towards Pristina to continue the process, and to lift the blockade of the implementation of the Brussels agreement," Joksimovic told Belgrade-based TV Pink.

She pointed out that Biden's upcoming visit to Belgrade and Pristina is "very important, a positive sign" and that the United States "supports Serbia's European path and played an active role in the opening of chapters 23 and 24 (in Serbia's EU accession negotiations)."

Joksimovic pointed out that "the most important thing in foreign policy is to recognize the moment and based on that, make decisions" while "a small country must adapt to what is happening on the global scene."

She also noted that Biden belongs to a U.S. administration that is on its way out, but said that "regardless of who becomes the new president of the United States that country's foreign policy course will not change much because it is a policy that represents continuity."

Asked "how difficult it is to maintain good relations with both Russia and the United States," Joskimovic she said that the election campaign of Serbia's PM Aleksandar Vucic was marked by the idea of Serbia's EU integration.

"The proposed solutions have shown that he will remain on that course. However, Serbia has not aligned itself with the foreign policy of the EU, it has not introduced sanctions against Russia," said Joksimovic.

As for relations between Serbia and Croatia, Joksimovic stressed that they were at a low point and "in a critical phase" as Croatia, according to her, has entered "a vortex of a hostage relationship with the veterans, who fuel the anti-Serb campaign."
