Vojislav Seselj has reacted to the result of the British EU referendum by saying that "the English (British) drove a stake through the heart of the EU carcass."

British vote "drives stake through heart of EU carcass"

"What a lovely summer morning, what wonderful news that gladdened all of Serbdom. The English drove a hawthorn stake through the heart of European Union's carcass." Earlier in the day, Ivica Dacic, the foreign minister in the caretaker government, said that the result of the British referendum would not affect Serbia's policy of pursuing EU membership.

A majority of British citizens on Thursday voted in favor of their country leaving the EU.
