Serbian PM and Croatian president to meet on Monday - report
According to this, the Serbian prime minister and the Croatian president will together visit the house in Dalj and lay wreaths there. Milankovic was a Serb mathematician and astronomer born in Austria-Hungary (present day eastern Croatia).The paper said the purpose of the meeting will be "to open a new page in relations between Serbia and Croatia, so that the two states show they are ready to overcome misunderstandings from the past, due to which cooperation has been brought to a very low level in recent months."
It further said that "the joint position will be that the two states have many more things that bring them together than separate them, while it is expected that issues of missing persons, return of cultural heritage, but also protection of Serb and Croat minorities will also be brought up during the meeting."
The daily's sources said it was Grabar-Kitarovic who "took the initiative to improve relations with Belgrade because the Croatian government (that fell on Thursday) was doing the opposite, making moves, especially internationally, that additionally worsened relations."
In this context, the article mentioned Croatia's blockade of a chapter in Serbia's EU accession negotiations.
Vucic and Grabar-Kitarovic previously met in March in Mostar, Bosnia-Herzegovina.
