Sino-Serbian relations have progressed over the many years of friendship between the two countries, which nothing can compare to, Dacic told China's CCTV.

"We will make a step forward to enhance our relations - that is significant for both Serbia and China, and President Xi's visit will be a symbolic moment in our strategic relationship," Dacic said.

Serbia is China's most reliable partner in southeastern Europe - perhaps in all of Europe, Dacic noted.

Both countries have a deep understanding of the concept of sovereignty, Dacic said, thanking the Chinese government for supporting Serbia on the issue of Kosovo.

At the same time, he said that the government and the people of Serbia will not change their position on the One-China policy.
