"Our police will not allow that kind of extremism. As far as we're concerned, such a scenario is impossible when it comes to citizens of the Republic of Serbia. What is important is that the Serb Republic prevents this scenario by some extremist groups there," he has been quoted as saying.Stefanovic also stated there are "some who do not want stability and development of Serbia and the Serb Republic, it is not in their interest."
The minister believes that yesterday's warning and message of Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic about possible unrest in the RS "gained him some enemies, some who have different interests." Stefanovic added it was "clear there is a foreign factor involved in all this."
"Those who do not want stability of Serbia and the Serb Republic will not forget such a message," said Stefanovic.
Meanwhile, SNSD party leader and president of the Serb entity in Bosnia-Herzegovina (RS) Milorad Dodik said he "guarantees" there would be no incidents during the rally that will be organized on Saturday by his party.
Dodik's party scheduled their gathering after the opposition Alliance for Change announced they would hold their rally on May 14 in Banja Luka.
