Opposition politician campaigns by driving "taxi"
In his conversations with "randomly chosen citizens of all ages," Stefanovic stressed that his party wants to criminalize the practice of "partisan employment" for the sake of keeping young people in the country - "as they would know they could count on fair conditions during the employment process."He also promised to stand for education sector workers' improved status.
Stefanovic was presenting his party's program, "Serbia after Vucic," to residents of Cacak who said they were not satisfied with the situation in the country. The Serbian left officials who are elected to the Assembly "will guarantee with their property for the five key points of the program," he said.
Stefanovic's message to young people was that his party "wants to bring justice back to Serbia," make secondary education obligatory, raise teachers' salaries and stop their layoffs.
Higher salaries in the sectors of education, healthcare, judiciary, army and police "would renew the foundations of the state," he said.
According to Stefanovic, the results of "the Bologna reform" of higher education institutions should be reexamined, along with a revision of school curriculums.
