Serbian officials, U.S. envoy, German MP condemn attacks
They said they hoped "those responsible for these monstrous crimes will be quickly apprehended and brought to justice," the president's press service said in a statement. The attacks have also been strongly condemned by Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic and German parliament member and chair of its EU committee, Gunther Krichbaum, who is visiting Serbia.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic offered his condolences to his Belgian counterpart.
In addition, Vucic later said that he believes "Europe and the world will manage to find the best response to the terrorist attacks."
During a joint press conference with Krichbaum, he said that he and the German official were horrified by the events in Brussels.
"None of us must do what the terrorists would like the most - panic, bring disorder in our societies, change our way of life, this is exactly what the terrorists want to achieve," said Vucic.
