Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will on March 9 and 10 visit Russia where he will meet with President Vladimir Putin and Russian Patriarch Kirill.

President to travel to Moscow this week

On the first day of his visit, Nikolic will meet with the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo agency, Lyubov Glebova.

He will then have a meeting with Patriarch Kirill and receive the Fund's award.

This recognition will also be given to Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte and President of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin.

Previously, this award was, among others, received by Serbian Patriarch Pavle, RS President Milorad Dodik, film director Emir Kusturica, President of Montenegro Filip Vujanovic, and the Theological Faculty in Belgrade.

Nikolic will on Thursday meet with Putin. Beta agency is reporting on Monday that "as announced, no documents will be signed during the meeting, nor will there be a joint statement."

The report added that it was "previously announced" that an agreement on the status of the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center in Serbia could be signed during the visit, but that the president said last week this would have to wait until after the elections and for Serbia's new government , "because it cannot be signed by the technical government."
