"That will have to wait until the elections are held, a new parliament constituted and a new government formed, and then the new government will have the opportunity to decide on the agreement concerning the center in Nis (a town in southern Serbia)," Nikolic told reporters at the Presidency of Serbia after the National Assembly and calling early parliamentary elections for April 24.Belgrade-based daily Danas writes in the meantime that it "learned Vucic will not sign the agreement, that would give Russian members of the center located in Serbia the same rights as NATO members."
The recently ratified agreement with NATO allows for exchange of confidential information and equipment, and grants all NATO members in Serbia immunity and diplomatic privileges.
B92 has learned that the agreement on the status of the Russian-Serbian Humanitarian Center will be on the agenda when Nikolic meets with Putin in Moscow on March 9.
