Serbian Assembly President Maja Gojkovic was on Tuesday received in Yerevan by Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan.

They also "described the bilateral relations as traditionally friendly," the Serbian National Assembly said in a press release.Gojkovic also talked with Catholicos Karekin II, the head of the Armenian Church, "commending the close relations and cooperation between the Serbian and Armenian Churches given the historical and spiritual closeness of the two peoples."
Gojkovic thanked Armenia for voting against Pristina's admission to UNESCO, noting that over the past decade, around 150 Serbian churches and monasteries - 60 percent of which have the status of cultural monuments - had been destroyed, damaged or desecrated in Kosovo and Metohija.
