"Terrorist threat exists regardless of police statement"

Speaking on Tuesday, this deputy from the ranks of the ruling SNS said the incident "confirmed that there was a strong, well-organized regional network of radical Islam, extremism and terrorism in Kosovo and Metohija."

"This network has been there for a long time. Unfortunately, it was being covered up by the international community in the beginning," said Drecun.

Drecun told reporters in the Serbian parliament that the Committee had on several occasions received information about the threat the network posed to the Serb people.

Drecun said Serbia "will do everything to keep the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija safe."
