IKEA's investment in Serbia to reach EUR 300mn - PM
Vucic has been quoted as saying that economic topics dominated the meeting, and adding:"IKEA will by the end of the year start building (in Serbia), which is an investment worth around EUR 300 million. Scandinavian countries investing and doing business in Serbia is a sign ours is a safe country in economic terms. It's a good signal to other investors."
He noted that other Swedish companies, such as Tetra Pak and ABB, are also in Serbia, and that he expects "many others to arrive."
Vucic said Lofven should visit Serbia this year, and that Sweden was "satisfied with Serbia's firm European position."
"We will work on improving our business environment and on attracting foreign investments. These are our main goals," he added.
Vucic was also due to meet during the day with representatives of McKinsey, Tarkett and Goldman Sachs, as well as with the president of the EBRD.
