53 prosecutors who will serve in basic and higher prosecutions on Monday took their oath of office in front of National Assembly President Maja Gojkovic.

53 prosecutors take oath of office in National Assembly

The oath of office reads as follows: "I swear with my honor I will perform the public-prosecutorial office in a dedicated and conscientious manner, and protect constitutionality and legality, human rights and civil freedoms."

Gojovic congratulated the newly-appointed prosecutors, remarking that she "believed they will perform their duties independently and impartially, in line with the Constitution and the law, and act solely according to their conscience, in that way security the respect of the law for each citizen, and contributing to the reputation of the prosecutorial office."
